Studies the health and sustainability of marine, ocean, and coastal ecosystems, with an emphasis on blue carbon ecosystems that capture and store carbon, helping to mitigate climate change.
In this direction, we will consider definitions and outlines covering the following SDGs goals:
Blue carbon, mangroves and seagrasses, acidification, plastics, sustainable fisheries and coastal restoration.
Thematic alignment with the UN targets. SDG 17 connects the programme through international scientific cooperation.
